Founding & The Early Days
Vendetta was founded over a decade ago by Lit, who originally ran a guild with his cousins and brothers. When that core group moved on, Lit merged his remaining crew with Takkar's guilds. The name "Vendetta" was agreed upon by both sides, and the guild's signature green color came down to one simple reason, it's Lit's favorite.
From the very start, Belg and Takkar established themselves as the longest-standing members, remaining through every shift in leadership and server turmoil. Many Seconds-in-Command (SIC) have come and gone over the years, but the current SIC roster was not present during Vendetta's early rise.
One early milestone stands out: a friendly race among guild members to be the first to reach level 200. Lit lost that race to Sven, a good friend who later quit, but the memory remains a testament to the guild's competitive spirit in its formative days.
The Gregorian Age: The HUE alliance
Vendetta grew to its peak while in [Wreck ]HUE alliance, the monopolizing alliance for almost 6 years in Dodge server. This period marked the guild's most dominant stretch.
However, Lit stepped away from the game during this time and made the decision to hand leadership over to Greg. This was not a casual choice, Greg was widely regarded as a PvM god, constantly helping others and embodying the supportive spirit that Vendetta valued. Lit entrusted the guild to him knowing it would be in good hands.
Under Greg's leadership, Vendetta enjoyed a largely peaceful and stable period. The guild organized perc hunts, PVP tournaments, and Secret Santa events, maintaining a strong sense of community. However, the political landscape shifted when Illuminaughty and Suffragettes left HUE to form new alliances. This sparked months of intense AvA (Alliance vs. Alliance) fighting, as Vendetta and its allies engaged in sustained territorial battles.
Eventually, Vendetta moved to TSW (Terro something something - no one really remembers the other guys), an alliance that was working with CIAO to split the server's prisms between them. This period marked a strategic pivot for the guild. But as time passed, many of the core members, including our Beloved Greg himself, began playing less frequently. Activity waned, and after a couple of years of the guild sitting mostly empty, leadership was passed on to Dark‑lord.
The Server Merge & The Unlikely Comeback
When the server merge brought Dodge and other communities together into what is now Blair, many of us drifted back to the game with no real plans to stay. There was no grand strategy; Vendetta simply began reforming, slowly and organically, as old faces reappeared and new ones joined. The guild was rebuilding, piece by piece, with no expectation of lasting, but the old bonds proved stronger than anyone anticipated.
The Vendetta Sale, The Buyback, & The Broker
During this period when many original leaders were inactive, the guild was now under the stewardship of Darklorrd, who had served as SIC for some time. When the founders returned to the game, a decision was made to transfer the guild for in‑game currency (referred to as “kamas"). While the circumstances were unfortunate, it's important to note that Darklorrd had kept the guild running during an otherwise quiet era, and the transaction was handled as a practical matter rather than malice.
Iaz, a trusted mutual friend of both parties, served as the neutral intermediary for both transactions. His role ensured that both sides had confidence in the exchange.
· First Sale: Darklorrd transferred the guild to Killabee for 50 million kamas, with Iaz brokering the deal.
· Second Sale: When the founders sought to reclaim Vendetta, Neebs stepped up. Iaz once again facilitated the transaction, this time from Killabee back to Neebs for 100 million kamas.
That said, the sale could have ended Vendetta permanently. But Neebs was active at the time and stepped in to buy the guild back, ensuring its survival. A permanent debt of gratitude is owed to Neebs for his quick action and loyalty, without him, this history would not be written. An honorable mention is in accordance as well for Iaz for brokering these deals which has helped Vendetta stay on the Dofus digital map.
A New Era: Dee Takes Command
After the guild was recovered, the remaining members voted Can-Dee into leadership. Depending on how one counts Darklorrd's tenure, whether as a legitimate leader or a temporary custodian, Dee is considered either the third or fourth Guild Leader in Vendetta's history.
Beyond that number, Dee holds a distinct place in the guild's story: she is the first female and first openly lesbian leader of Vendetta, a milestone worth recognizing as part of our evolving identity. Dee's tenure was marked by a vibrant calendar of guild events that brought members together and created lasting memories. While the most recent iteration of Vendetta has hosted beauty competitions and a Secret Santa event on Christmas, the guild's earlier run under Dee was far more expansive.
Some of the events and traditions from that era include:
· Costume Events & Halloween Celebrations: Members would dress up in creative in-game outfits, with prizes awarded for the best designs. These events became a beloved seasonal tradition.
· Beauty Competitions: A recurring favorite, these contests showcased member creativity and style, often drawing large participation and healthy competition.
· Advent Calendar Giveaways: Running through December, these daily giveaways built anticipation and rewarded active members throughout the holiday season.
· PvP Tournaments: Competitive events that tested member skill and fostered friendly rivalries within the guild.
· Secret Santa: A holiday tradition where members were paired up to exchange gifts, strengthening bonds across the guild.
Dee's leadership emphasized community, creativity, and fun, and many of these events are ripe for revival. If you have screenshots or memories from these events, please share them so we can immortalize the moments that made this guild special.
Present Day: Still Green, Still Standing
No one expected to rebuild. But we did. Dee led the guild for an extended period, steering it through the post-merge recovery. Eventually, she made the decision to step back from the day-to-day responsibilities, and leadership returned to Lit-af.
When Lit needed a break, Trixiemattel stepped up to lead. While Trixie would later downplay his seriousness about the role, his tenure deserves recognition. He didn't just hold the seat he was diplomatic by nature, even when it didn't come naturally, and was always there to help when needed. His willingness to serve, even temporarily, counted for something meaningful.
After some time, leadership shifted back to Lit. Dee later took an even bigger step back from the server entirely, entrusting it fully to Lit, who remains at the helm today. And here we remain, still green, still standing, and still very much Vendetta. The guild has weathered server merges, leadership changes, and near‑dissolution, yet it persists through the dedication of its members past and present.
NOTE: This historic accounting was compiled from contributions by long‑time members. If you have any additional details, the vote for Dee, or memories from BLESS and HUE, please share them. This history belongs to all of us, and it deserves to be as complete as the guild itself.
